Throughout your training, you will develop your practical ability through extensive hands-on experience, individual guidance and professional mentoring in a real salon environment.

A Nationally Recognised Qualification
Students enrolled on the programme will work towards the SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming, an Ofqual-regulated qualification delivered through Pet Collective Education.
The diploma combines industry-standard knowledge with practical salon experience and is designed to prepare students for professional careers within the Dog Grooming and Styling industry.
As a training centre within the Pet Collective Education network, Animal Magic Styling Academy is committed to delivering education that meets recognised national standards while maintaining the high level of practical training, mentoring and personal support for which our academy stands.
Programme Structure
The Professional Dog Styling Diploma Programme consists of 45 training days:
44 guided practical training days
Day 45 – Final Practical Assessment & Examination
Throughout the programme, you will also complete three practical breed assessments, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your development, refine your skills, build confidence and prepare thoroughly for your final practical examination.

That is why we believe understanding the business behind the industry is an important part of becoming a well-rounded professional.
Throughout your training, we will introduce you to many of the areas that new salon owners and self-employed stylists often discover only after entering the professional world.
You will gain an understanding of pricing and the true cost of providing your services, managing appointments and working time effectively, booking and salon-management systems, client communication, salon policies, insurance, record keeping, basic financial organisation, marketing, professional identity and the responsibilities that come with managing and growing a business.
We will also discuss the common mistakes that can make running a styling business unnecessarily difficult — from under pricing and overworking to poor organisation and attempting to manage everything manually.
Because being fully booked does not necessarily mean you are running a successful business.
We want our students to understand the value of their time, their skills and their work. The aim is to give you the foundations to build a career or business that is professional, profitable and sustainable — without creating a working life that eventually controls you.
Your Animal Magic Business Starter Package
When you complete your training with Animal Magic Styling Academy, we want you to leave with more than a certificate.
Students will receive our specially prepared Animal Magic Business Starter Package, created to help bridge the gap between completing professional training and stepping confidently into the industry.
The package brings together practical guidance, resources and information covering areas such as professional insurance, booking and salon-management systems, pricing and service costs, essential salon policies, client forms and record keeping, customer service, marketing and social media, business administration, financial organisation, HR and people management, productivity, time management and the everyday responsibilities involved in operating a professional Dog Styling business.
The purpose is not to turn every student into an accountant, HR specialist or marketing expert.
It is to make sure you understand that these areas exist, recognise why they matter and, most importantly, know where to begin.

Your deposit is non-refundable and secures your place on the programme by reserving your selected training dates.
The remaining balance may be paid in monthly instalments throughout your training, with the full balance payable before your final practical assessment and certification.
